Align your business with your values, goals, and capacity.
Trauma-Informed Business Support
You Deserve a Business That Supports You—
Not One That Burns You Out
Since 2020, I’ve built a sustainable, full-time business as a trauma-informed coach, offering coaching, courses, workshops, and a membership group. Has it been perfect? Absolutely not. Has it been worth it? YES.
With all the ups and downs of the past 5 years, I know firsthand what it takes to run a business that not only pays the bills but also honors your nervous system, your lived experience, and your capacity. Now, I help other helpers, healers, and entrepreneurs do the same.
Let me tell you all about it!
If you’re a trauma-informed or otherwise sensitive, thoughtful human, you're likely aware that online business advice can not only fall flat but also be harmful to both entrepreneurs and their clients.
Perhaps you’ve heard some of this advice before:
“Just push through the fear!” / “Get over your mindset blocks!”
⇨ This dismisses real nervous system responses like anxiety, freeze, or trauma-related fear. It assumes that resistance is just a mindset issue rather than a sign of deeper needs and beliefs.
✧.* Instead, I help clients recognize and work with their nervous system, using somatic tools and compassionate strategies to build confidence at their own pace.
“If you’re not making six figures, you’re not trying hard enough.”
⇨ This shames people for not hitting arbitrary financial milestones and ignores systemic, personal, and emotional factors that impact business growth.
✧.* I focus on sustainable, gradual success—helping you define what success looks like for you, not based on someone else’s version of success.
“Use urgency and scarcity to pressure people into buying.”
⇨ Tactics like “only 2 spots left!” (when that’s not true) or fear-based copy (“If you don’t buy this now, you’ll regret it forever”) manipulate people into making decisions out of panic, not alignment.
✧.* I teach ethical marketing that prioritizes trust, consent, and transparency, so your clients feel empowered, not pressured.
“Be everywhere, all the time, or you’ll be forgotten.”
⇨ This promotes burnout by pushing constant content creation without considering individual capacity or nervous system regulation.
✧.* I can help you craft a marketing strategy that works with your energy levels, so you can show up consistently without depleting yourself.
“Charge high-ticket prices or you’re undervaluing yourself.”
⇨ This assumes everyone has the same financial privilege and ignores the importance of accessibility. Pricing should be intentional, not dictated by status-driven norms.
✧.* I guide you to explore setting prices that feel aligned with your values and needs, while considering financial accessibility if that’s important to you.
“You have to niche down super hard or you’ll never succeed.”
⇨ While niching can be helpful, extreme pressure to hyper-niche can make people feel stuck, especially if they are multi-passionate or still figuring things out.
✧.* I help you explore your business direction with curiosity and flexibility, so you don’t feel boxed in or limited to only doing one thing.
My approach is different.
I don’t believe in pushing through anxiety, ignoring trauma responses, or forcing strategies that feel misaligned. Instead, I’m here to support you and your business in a way that meets you where you are, using trauma-informed and somatic-based practices to support your success without bypassing your lived experience.

The following testimonials were written by clients of my 1:1 trauma-informed coaching work and are shared with permission:
“Before I started working with Emmy I was spiraling, ashamed of what I was feeling internally, and barely holding it together. Working with Emmy made me feel less alone, like someone actually understood what I was going through, and helped me to understand both what happened to me and how my body and mind reacted to the trauma I sustained. Emmy was such a supportive and truly bright light in my life during my most transformative months. I could not recommend her coaching more. Her work is so important and she is a wonderful person to have in your corner.”
-Emma J.
“Working with you is one of the best decisions I have ever made on my healing journey! It took me just under a year for our consult call to finally take the jump to work with you, I was very hesitant, but I could not be more glad that I did. You are such an INCREDIBLE, validating, comforting human being, conversations always flowed so easily during our sessions and they always seemed to fly by! I continually go back to the notes you sent after the calls and they are so helpful to me! I would recommend your coaching to ANYONE who is needing help on their trauma journey! I experienced so many breakthroughs and realizations while working with you that are truly priceless. Thank you so much!”
-Alia B.
“Emmy has been an absolute rock for my trauma recovery. She taught me how to find compassion for myself rather than be stuck in the constant repeating cycle of shame. Her framework has been the foundation of my healing and trauma recovery. The internal and external have both dramatically shifted. I feel excited for life again. I am able to soothe myself when triggers arise. And most importantly, my relationship with myself has become peaceful.
Forever grateful for the work we have done together “
-Coco
“I gained so much from this experience. I learned who I was as a person but more importantly, why I was the way I was. Trying to navigate myself and life has always been difficult, but now I understand. [I learned] how to pick up on what I’m feeling, and then how to move on from there in a safe and nurturing way. I needed tools, resources, someone relatable, and I knew I would be able to get that here with you! I am a new person inside and out. Work isn’t as stressful because I can understand how to work around it in a healthy way, I don’t feel like I’m trapped in my own mind anymore, and that I am never alone with whatever I’m feeling. To know others experience the same forms of trauma as I was so comforting to feel.
This was the most life changing experience I have ever had. You have a gift of knowing what people need to hear, and just as importantly, you make each and every person feel so safe and comforted. It’s been amazing to see you live out the career that was meant for you, and I can’t wait to see where you go from here. Thank you Emmy.”

“For the first time since my trauma, I feel like a whole valuable person again. I used to live in a constant state of fight or flight, thinking that I had to fight for everything in my life–my career, my partners, my friends. I’ve learned that I don’t deserve to fight for crumbs anymore. I am worthy of love, respect, kindness, reliability, trust, understanding, and empathy. I don’t feel as alone anymore because I finally feel at home within myself. This is truly the best investment that I have ever made.”

“Emmy changed my life. She has given me so much more than I even thought possible when we started working together. Before this experience, I felt so scared to trust myself in relationships after abuse. I felt like my night terrors, insomnia, and hypervigilance were things that I needed to get rid of to become healed. Now, I not only trust myself in my relationships, but I realize that my body is just trying to protect me. I finally feel safe in my own skin. I now know and understand myself on a deeper level, and am confident discussing how my trauma impacts me daily with those around me. I feel like a giant weight has been moved off my shoulders. Put simply, thank God, the universe, and all the higher power for Emmy. To anyone wondering if coaching with Emmy is something you should invest in, stop wondering and just do it. You will not regret it. Because she has actually lived through what she’ll help you through, she is able to make you feel truly understood while helping you at the same time. I cannot recommend this healing experience enough. I didn’t think it was possible to feel so safe while being pushed at the same time. Emmy is a life changer.”

“I gained confidence that I am going to heal, and I gained the confidence to name what has happened to me. Both of these things have enabled me to move forward but also be gentle with myself as I do. I learnt so much from this course about shame, about how this affects my body, and how it affects my relationships. I am so much more able to connect with how I am feeling and why, and able to think connect with what I need. I have gained this sense that I am going through a second adolescence, and this has been so empowering – I am now getting to know myself, who I am and what my values are. I am able to say intergenerational trauma and neglect stops with me, and be able to be excited about a future for myself that I just didn’t feel able to imagine. The practical yet also grounded in theory/ideas approach of coaching has been invaluable for this, since I am a person who needs to understand before I can imagine a way out. I also started to understand ways in which abusers still have a hold on me in certain ways, and being conscious of this has made me able to resist, and also to put myself and care for myself, first.”

“Overall I gained from the experience of receiving the Trauma Informed coaching by Emmy, way more understanding on the effects trauma has physically, mentally and overall. I gained more dignity back, when I had felt none. I also had clarity and closure to a particular trauma, I had not shared with anyone. And I also had a sense of self revived, that the little girl I was, pre-trauma didn’t deserve what I had experienced and that I am worth it. The healing and self care and undoing the effects of trauma. I was truly inspired by Emmy, and to work in such a loving, caring supportive setting, was truly awe inspiring. Her 3 month coaching really was the first major investment I had done for myself, and I believe it was very rewarding. I learned a lot and I believe it helped me with beginning to grow and have some hope restored. It helped me to believe I don’t have to be held back anymore due to traumas. That its a journey, to be gentle. -I really liked where she talked about trauma shaming, that felt validating. Trauma is widespread, but has been treated with contempt, or like this hidden problem, in my opinion, considering I had trauma for decades with little to no answers.
I believe it helped me to have more grace for myself, as well as love and understanding. I really like her knowledge and experience and she has a way of working with you, to where she’s very approachable and a pleasure to work with. It helped build my confidence, actually confiding in someone about some horrible experiences and thinking outside the box, no shame involved. And being that she is someone who went thru trauma and abuse, and her story is just so inspiring and her coaching was really a gift. Because I was familiar with her instagram content, when the opportunity became available, I felt called to do it, and took a leap of faith. I’m glad that I did, because she really was a joy to work with. She’s courageous and I just felt very seen, heard and encouraged. I believe that investing in myself and the actual content of the coaching, and working with her, helped me to gain some confidence, and be more gentle and kind to me. Also making that connection back to my inner child, and that, I am not a horrible person because I endured trauma, and that I can experience love, growth and healing. I shifted more to more balance and to began to think of my dreams, and integrate more into wholeness.
An external shift I experienced was becoming less and less of a people pleaser, not tolerating abuse or disrespectful toxic people, becoming more free and having growth, outgrowing stagnant draining relationships, beginning to hope again and have more times of stability, and glimmers. I had a block to where i would rarely let myself just rest. And her coaching helped me, to begin to rest as needed, no guilt, it was helpful and it also helped me to begin to value myself again, because i realized i had been with abusers my whole life really and that i didnt ever have to again. I would recommend her coaching to others! Yes, i truly loved the experience, the content, the journaling, the meetings, the material, it was really thoughtful and shes really a brilliant, resilient, inspiring woman, and it just was beneficial and i think others would find the same. 🙂 I also would like to say that while I was going through the coaching, I was dealing with some pretty heavy family stuff, and that I believe working with her was not only a gift to me, but for my children and family, it was rewarding.”

“I was nervous to try trauma coaching, but after years of hitting the wall trying to heal all by myself and having failed experiences with traditional therapy I decided to bite the bullet and try coaching with Emmy. The whole experience has been so amazing and beyond helpful!! I have a better grasp on how much trauma has impacted my life and now have much better coping mechanisms thanks to what Emmy taught me in her program. Before whenever I would get triggered or just feel completely bad about myself, I didn’t know what to do in order to accommodate for those situations, but now I have tools that I can use whenever I end up in those states and in general as I go through my life day to day. I no longer look at myself in a very harsh way and instead have noticed that I have been kinder to myself plus I have been able to learn more about why my body reacts that way it does, how I can set better boundaries, and how I can communicate what I am going through with others. I have seen so much change in myself in these past 3 months and it has made me so hopeful for my future. Emmy has been so patient, understanding, and kind. Her gentle accountability and support has been such a blessing. I can’t recommend her enough and am so thankful that she offers this service to trauma survivors! This whole experience has helped me develop a better perspective regarding my trauma, myself, and my relationship with others.”

“Signing up for coaching turned out to be more than what I expected. From a history of verbal abuse, suspicions of having depression in my past, and ongoing anxiety, it was no easy task to unmask myself and reach out for help. I am now able to be vulnerable and own it. I am so glad I went through with this experience of paying for a coach. I will forever be grateful to Emmy Marie for her validation, her support, and her genuine care to see me thrive in my personal life. As my coach, Emmy Marie gave me her undivided attention during our sessions; she provided me with respect and care. I came into this coaching experience with feelings of unworthiness, feelings of being broken or defective. I am now walking away, owning up to my unique personality makeup. I am now confident in myself, confident about my future, and pumped up with the conviction that there is purpose in my life and that I matter and am worth my time and effort. The past 12 weeks have positively impacted my life in that I am certain that the shifts I saw in my thought life are indefinitely changed for the better. I truly recommend getting Emmy Marie as your coach.”

“My coaching experience with Emmy was not only rewarding for my mental and emotional health, but I felt that I gained a friend – a true advocate for my trauma-healing process. Emmy is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and understanding. I have done a lot of personal reflection/inner-work over the years, yet I still lacked a connection between certain mental health facts, positive coping strategies, scientific terminology, and their application to my life. During my coaching sessions with Emmy, I experienced several “aha” moments, as well as feelings of immense relief. Knowing that I am not alone in my trauma recovery, has meant everything to me. Emmy uses her personal experiences of pain, and healing to relate to each of her clients individually, and provides a safe space in which each individual can open up and feel “heard.” I never felt judged or shamed during any of our interactions; a common fear among trauma survivors. I am so grateful for Emmy’s expertise in helping me better understand my worth as a woman, human being, and trauma survivor!“

“Working with Emmy was so helpful for my mental health and my growth. She is so patient, understanding, and kind. She was available whenever I needed someone to talk to and she was always prepared with information and resources to help me with my struggles. I now have a better understanding of my trauma and the part it plays in my daily life, as well as my relationships and the stories I have about myself and the world around me. I’m able to take a second look at how I perceive things now because I know that my trauma has shaped my outlook. She has taught me that I am not bad, there is nothing wrong with me, and it wasn’t my fault. I’m so grateful to have had this experience with her!”

“Emmy is a radiant and passionate soul dedicated to helping others grow. Her holistic approach of meeting clients where they are at in all aspects (emotionally, mentally, spiritually, etc.) enables them to feel supported to make changes while being they’re “perfectly imperfect” selves. Our work together over the past 6 weeks has been a catalyst for small but significant transformations in my life that I’d previously been thinking about but wasn’t sure I could actually take. I’m so grateful for her fresh perspective and cheerleading as I tackle new goals!”
Who Is This A Good Fit For?
Trauma-informed business coaching is a great fit if you:
Are a new entrepreneur looking for guidance in setting up a sustainable, values-aligned business.
Are an experienced business owner facing challenges with growth, burnout, or misaligned strategies.
Want to market your work without pressure, manipulation, or exhausting social media tactics.
Struggle with anxiety, trauma responses, or nervous system dysregulation that impact your ability to run a business.
Are looking for practical, accessible solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Value ethics, sustainability, and alignment over hustle culture.
Are struggling with imposter syndrome in business and endlessly questioning if you’re good enough.
Need help with clarity, decision-making, or problem-solving in your business.
This might not be the best fit if you’re looking for:
Someone to build your business for you (website design, branding, tech setup, etc.).
Quick-fix, high-pressure sales tactics that prioritize profit over people.
A rigid, step-by-step formula that doesn’t account for your lived experience and capacity.
Many of the people I work with have spent their lives believing that in order to be safe, they must caretake, people-please, and accommodate others before themselves. I’ve been there myself. In business, this can show up as undervaluing your work, over-giving, struggling with boundaries, or feeling guilty for charging for your work.
My coaching is designed to help you unravel these patterns and build a business that honors your work without requiring you to be endlessly productive or perfect.
