Embrace Your Authentic Self
Coming Home To Yourself
Starting February 5th: A group program for reconnection,
acceptance, and reclamation of the things that make you YOU.
Do you feel like trauma has caused you to disconnect from your true self, or prevented you from discovering what your “true self” even is?
Do you notice that you tend to overachieve, people please, or put on other masks in order to try to find fulfillment & happiness?
Are you longing to feel more power over your own life, instead of being controlled by past trauma that you never chose?
I created Coming Home To Yourself for you!
+ Early bird pricing: 25% off now thru 1/22!
The impact of experiences such as abuse, neglect, bullying, medical trauma, religious trauma, oppression, intergenerational trauma, and more, can lead to more than just symptoms like nightmares and flashbacks.
Trauma, particularly complex or ongoing trauma, can lead to a negative shift in our sense of identity.
Instead of having the opportunity to discover who we are, find our sense of self, and create an inner sanctuary, we often are forced to focus on staying alive. I refer to this as “survival mode”. And when we're in survival mode, it's often necessary to act in ways that don't feel in alignment with our true selves.
When you’re living in survival mode, you might try to achieve happiness, love, and fulfillment by…
Accommodating, caretaking, and pleasing others at the expense of yourself
Bending over backward to make sure other people are happy, even when it feels exhausting or out of alignment with yourself.
Pretending to be okay, successful, and happy when you’re actually struggling.
Focusing on staying busy and external achievements until you burn out.
Keeping the peace at all costs, because speaking your truth could ruffle some feathers or cause trouble.
Constantly trying to improve yourself because accepting who you are feels impossible.
Doing anything to fill the void of emptiness you sense inside.
You make sense.
Living this way is not a personal failing; it’s likely an incredibly valid strategy you learned to survive feelings of shame, fear, and pain. And it’s exhausting, depleting, and frustrating to feel like your sense of worth and confidence is solely based on things outside yourself.
I created Coming Home To Yourself to offer you a place to discover, reconnect, and embrace your true self underneath the trauma and conditioning you’ve been through. Let’s talk more about what that would look like.
Coming Home To Yourself
is here to help you…
Understand the stories that past experiences have taught you about yourself and your role in the world
Take what resonates and serves you, and leave the rest behind.
Discover what helps you feel safe, delighted, and connected to yourself.
Rewrite the harmful narratives about yourself that you’ve been given to ones that are in alignment with your values and goals for your future.
Start to really name what you want for yourself and explore tangible ways to get there.
Temper your goals for yourself with self-acceptance - not pushing yourself hard, but leaning into aligned expansion.
Be in a space with other people doing this work to feel less alone.

The main ways this course helped me are…
“ This course provided a safe space to express myself without judgment, engage with my healing journey, and for active reflection, while also being accountable to my authentic self in a space safe. I learned that my authentic self can be unperfect, and that's okay. Showing up for myself, in whichever way I need is being authentic. I became aware of my internal dialogue and core beliefs, plus was given tools to feel empowered to change them.” - Padma P.
“This course showed me that healing in the context of community is something that's really good for me. I learned a lot about my masks, my responses to trauma, and begun to realize why I have those masks and responses. I've become more compassionate, curious, and patient toward myself as I heal. I feel like authenticity is a lot more realistic to me now...I'm starting to understand my authentic self better and it's exciting. I feel like I'm starting to come home to myself. :)” -LB
“The understanding of the barriers to connecting with yourself and best of all the opposites of those things, so that when I notice judgment come up for example, I'm not just aware of it anymore, I also know what might help to soothe it. I also feel like the course has helped me to accept all the parts of my trauma that are part of who I am and to stop punishing myself for them.” -NJB
“By feeling connected in real time to others on their healing journey. I could show up exactly how I was in the moment without the need to be perfect, prepared, visible on camera or ready to share out loud with the group.” - Megan B.
“Giving me actionable tools to work through the negative mindsets that have been blocking me, allowing space for a healthy envisioning of the life I want to build. Emmy has done a fantastic job providing engaging questions I may not have thought to ask myself otherwise. My trauma and limiting beliefs do not need to define me. I can break old toxic patterns and create a better life for myself, despite how I may have acted in the past. This has been a welcome step in me removing the grey-shaded glasses I’ve been wearing for far too long, and welcoming more color back in!” - Mykal W.
My favorite aspects of the course were...
“I cannot choose what was more helpful: the group calls where I felt so heard and had the honour of hearing others' stories, the workbooks and their thoughtful questions that truly led me through the process, or the lesson videos where I learned words, processes, and concepts that resonate and make so much sense to me. Altogether, I felt like this was a super well-rounded and balanced way of having different methods of accessing and processing this incredible course.” -NJB
“The guided conversations, talking about certain topics with questions as guidelines and hearing what other people say, relating to each other and supporting each other. To put experiences in words and share it with each other.” - Jil E.
“- Listening to people share their journeys and be true to themselves (it was empowering)
- Emmy providing insights on what it's like to be someone who personally experiences these things
- Lecture videos I can watch at my own time and pace” - Padma P.
“The welcoming, no pressure, vulnerable, & insightful live group calls. Also the aesthetically beautiful and explanatory workbook!” - LB
“Getting to hear about other people’s journeys. It was enlightening to hear first-hand accounts of other people facing similar struggles to my own, yet under completely different circumstances. A very supportive and attentive group. I also love that there are workbooks and prompts for me to work through and ponder at any time. Intentional work like this has been so crucial to my healing and each question Emmy provided has allowed me to discover something new about myself.” - Mykal W.

About Emmy
First and foremost, I am a human being, and a trauma survivor. I’ve also been doing trauma-informed coaching and facilitation work since 2020, and have offered this program since 2022, which has reached more than 300 students.
My mission in life and business is to empower trauma survivors to own their truth, reject shame, and move forward toward a brighter future.
Over the years, I’ve been trained in trauma-informed coaching, somatic work, NARM, parts work, and more. My education has guided my work to focus on helping other survivors move forward from trauma without bypassing their lived experiences. I am particularly interested in making space for all aspects of our humanity, including the parts of us we may feel shame or judgment towards.
I'm passionate about the topic of authenticity because I know firsthand how lonely it can feel to hide who you are in order to be accepted. While it can be scary to embrace your authentic self, it can also lead to fulfillment, joy, and a deep connection with others.
I'm so glad you're here!
My Intentions & Approach
I’d love to share with you what I’m hoping to generate within this group by focusing on 3 things I value: authenticity, acceptance, and community.
Authenticity:
I want this to be an opportunity for you to stop censoring yourself within your own mind, relationships, and life. I want you to discover what is deeper than the masks you’ve worn to keep you safe. I want you to get to know yourself and find what makes you come alive.
Acceptance:
I want this to be an opportunity for growth when it comes to the transition from shame and self-hatred to self-acceptance and compassion. I want you to be in an environment that encourages you to see the good within yourself, and the inherent worthiness of who you are. I want to help you create a personal environment that gives you the radical permission to embrace yourself as you already are.
Community:
I want this to be a chance for you to access a greater sense of community and support. While vulnerability and opening up can be uncomfortable, doing this work alone is HARD. I’ve learned over the past 4.5 years of doing this work professionally full-time that connecting to other people doing similar healing work can be such a resource in times of struggle. We are not alone.

Nope! This is a group coaching program led by a trauma-trained coach. This course could work well with ongoing therapeutic work you’re doing!
If you are in a crisis mode, feeling very unstable, and are having a hard time functioning each day, I would not recommend this course. If this is you, I would highly recommend seeking out support from a licensed trauma-informed mental health professional.
